Starting Over

But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth. (Psalm 86:15)

Have you ever felt like you've lost everything, including your relationship with God? Sometimes I wonder if I've pushed God too far that He's turned His back on me. Then I'll remember His promises. Promises like Hebrews 13:5

He Himself has said, "I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you"

and Romans 8:38-39

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord

We may try to start over with people, and they won't let us, but remember. They will turn their backs and have nothing further to do with us. God is not human. God loves us unconditionally. If we feel we have wronged Him, he is faithful and forgives us when we come to him and apologize (repent) for our actions. He wipes the slate clean and allows us to start over with Him.

Here's an article from gotquestions.org which explains what the Bible says about second chances https://www.gotquestions.org/second-chances.html.
