Praise the Lord

I decided to start reading a bit at the end of the book of Psalms. Psalm 148 encourages all of creation to praise the Lord. From trees to animals, to even the stars and moon. Do you wonder if animals and plants can praise God? Nothing is impossible for God. The same hands and breath that created man, created the heavens, the earth, and everything in between. This means all of creation has the touch of God. There's not one part of nature exempt from praising God.

Praising God doesn't have to be a grand public gesture. Reverence and respect can be shown in private. Don't be afraid to sing and dance for your Lord. David danced. I believe God loves when we praise him with whatever talent we have. You can even sit quietly in His presence, praising him through prayer or meditation. I love God and worship Him with all my heart and soul! I can't sing, dance, or paint. There's a lot I can't do, but I've been told I can write. I use my writing to bring glory to God and His kingdom. For me, writing these short devotional blogs is my praising and sharing what God means to me and what he has done for me.

What can you do today to praise God in your own personal way? God loves us, and when we share our love and appreciation of Him personally, I do believe it means more than repeating the words or actions of others. We know how we feel when we receive a compliment, how much more does God feel when we honor and praise Him in our own unique way.

To God be the glory

Great things He has done

So loved He the world that He gave us His Son

Who yielded His life an atonement for sin

And opened the life-gate that all may go in

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord

Let the earth hear His voice

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord
