Night Vision

If you are struggling and going through a trial now, does it seem like there is no light? You may have a certain amount of peace and joy due to the Holy Spirit within you, comforting you. This comfort only happens if you have a relationship with Christ. If you don't know Jesus Christ, be encouraged as you can start a relationship today.

I'm reading Psalm 139 today, and night vision goggles come to mind. Verses 11 through 12 state, "If I say, surely the darkness will overwhelm me, and the light around me will be the night, even the darkness is not dark to You. And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You." Everything around us may be dark; when Christ looks at us, he sees everything.

He sees even more clearly than a man does when using night vision goggles. We are not lost to him. We may not see our way, but God does.

Ever been in a tour of caverns, and they cut the lights out to show the vastness of the darkness? It's so dark you can't see anything, not even a shadow of your hand waving in front of you. Even in the cave, Christ sees you perfectly, clearly, and brightly.

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” (John 8:12)
