This morning I woke up with an old hymn running through my mind and heart. The hymn entitled "My Savior's Love' written by Charles H. Gabriel in 1905. The refrain states:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!
There's just something about the older hymns that carry more meaning and touch my soul more than the modern praise and worship songs. There are a few praise and worship songs that will stir the Holy Spirit within me but none like the old hymns.
