Just Shut UP!

I know most of us have seen this list before. I’m sharing it on this website not only as a reminder to others but me too. I don’t know about you, but I still struggle with opening my mouth when I should keep it shut. I’m doing better but still slip up from time to time. What I’m trying to do now, is instead of opening my mouth to others, I open my mouth to God 😊. I tell Him what I want to say to someone else and ask Him to control my tongue and/or if I’m right about the situation, to shine light upon the situation so that it is visible and I don’t have to say anything!!!! (all according to His will of course). This takes learning to trust God will do what is best in the situation. Even if I’m right, it may not be best to shine His light on it. Everything is in His timing and He will make the situation right when it is within His time. My biggest advice to those that struggle with when to say something and when not to…. take it to God and leave it there. Note: LEAVE IT THERE, don’t take it back. If you slip up, repent and ask for forgiveness. Don't beat yourself up. We all need to remember to shut up instead of speak up.
