Jesus Will Make All Things New

And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Revelation 21:5

Revelation 21:5 is talking about when Christ returns and how He will make a new world for us. This is to bring us encouragement as we should not dwell on this current world as this is not our home. This is not going to last forever. God promises us a new and better world.

I don't believe, however, that Jesus intends to keep us where we are should our current world be dark and harmful. Many will think of the Christians imprisoned and persecuted but when you think about them, God didn't leave them there. They were either released or passed on to their home in heaven. I also believe for those persecuted God is closer to them and somehow through their torture, there is a strength and peace none of us have experienced. We can have peace and joy through pain and suffering. We just have to be willing to tap into the power of the Holy Spirit that lives inside of us. I want to believe that God will make the pain more bearable or maybe even less in intensity for those persecuted in His name. This is when I think of the 3 men in the fire and Jesus walking with them in the fire. When the 3 men were released, they were unharmed. I don't believe they could be walking upright if they were in torturous pain so therefore, Jesus must have taken their pain away.

We should not be afraid as all things are possible through Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:13). This includes giving us a strength and power to overcome any situation we face and He can give us a new perspective, which changes the world we live in for the better. (a new world) Being human, of course we will have times of fear but it's important we turn those fears over to God and trust Him to take the fears away.

Here is a song I believe God sent to me today to share with you all. I haven't heard this one before and hope it encourages you today.
