God Is Still My God

But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord, I say, “You are my God.” (Psalm 31:14)

While I am still walking through a valley with no mountain top insight, I know it is coming. I'm going to keep walking forward with God by my side. God has never failed me, and I've remembered all of the times He has pulled me through when no one else could help, and no one else could solve the problem.

If you're finding yourself struggling, I know there are many times He has been there for you just as He has for me. I read a post once that said, "if you got out of bed, have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and food to eat, then you are blessed and can thank God for the blessings". It is true that once we start thanking and praising God, our focus turns to him and not our problems. I started thanking God for the job He is preparing for me, and it's making a world of difference for me and my relationship with Christ.

God is still my God. He has been for most of my life and will continue to be for all of eternity. I love Jesus Christ with as much of my being that is possible. I can't imagine facing this difficult time in my life without Him. He is my strength when I'm weak. I know He will see my husband and me through this season in our life.

I praise His Holy Name and thank Him for always being there, but most importantly, I thank Him for saving me from my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. No matter how rough or tough this life gets, my rest is coming after this life is over. While it's usually not good to look into the future too far, the one part I do look forward to is spending eternity with Jesus.

Here is a song I'd like to share. I pray it will bless someone in a special way.

Lyrics:

Life can take our breath away

Tragedy can leave a wake

A broken heart won’t ever beat the same

Pain can stop us in our tracks

Losing what we can’t get back

Shaking the foundations of our faith

No matter whats in my way

No matter the battles I face

You are still my God

You’re still my rock

My only hope Lord,

You’re all I’ve got

In every valley or mountaintop

I’ll say hallelujah

You’re still my God

The questions keep us in the fight

The answer’s never black or white

We may not know until the other side

But even in this in between

We fix our eyes on what’s unseen

The shadows never overcome the light

No matter whats in my way

I know that You won’t ever change

You’re still my hope

You’re still my peace

You’re still my joy

You’re all I need

You’re still my strength

When I am weak

You’re still my God

I still believe
