God Believes in Me

Today I want to share a song, "I Believe in God" by Brian Duckworth. This song is a few years old but I recently heard it and want to share it. It just spoke to me and maybe someone else needs to hear these words now.

When things go wrong it's easy for us to be tempted to take our eyes off Jesus and maybe even feel like God is punishing us. This is not the case. We must always remember this is a fallen world and God loves us. It is not His will that any should perish or suffer. We do because of the sin and fall of man and even because of our choices in life. He never promised we wouldn't have trials, sufferings or bad times as we follow Him on this Earth. When you study the Bible, this holds true for His followers in the past. Most of the stories are about His followers enduring hardships but their faith was strong, and God always rewarded them for having faith. They suffered but also received blessings others didn't because others chose not to trust Him. As we travel the path of life, we will go up a mountain and travel into valleys. These valleys may be very wide, dark, and scary at times. If we are growing closer to Christ every day, then we will always follow Him and lean on Him for strength and protection. As the song, "God on the Mountain" states: The God on the mountain is still God in the Valley. When things go wrong, He'll make them right:" God will make things right in His time not ours.

God knows us better than we know ourselves. My favorite part of this song is when the singer sings 'I believe in God but what's more is He believes in me. He holds my life in his hands. He's the strength that lets me stand. He's all the hope I need'. Just dwell on the words, 'God believes in me'. How does it feel to realize God believes in you?
