From Fear to Faith
I have seen prayers answered, not only for me but for others too. As I face a huge trial now, I'm frustrated with myself for what feels like a lack of faith, but God laid something on my heart. He reminded me of my prayers to Him over faith. I have been praying for a faith that does not waver. The type of faith that remains steady no matter how strong a storm is.
I read a blog where within the blog, it was stated, "When we are afraid, God wants us to trust Him and not give way to fear. Learning to do that is our walk from fear to faith".
I now understand that God is currently answering prayer for me. With this storm that is greater than any storm I've had to face so far, God is growing my faith. He is teaching me how to have faith that moves mountains. I do not think it's an accident that my web page is entitled 'Christian Faith Place' either. Faith has always been important to me and something I work on daily. I pray that my blogs encourage, inspire, and help others strengthen their faith in God. I believe trust is the foundation of my relationship with Christ. The stronger my faith is, the closer I am to Him, and the better I learn about who he is, and my love for him increases.
I didn't realize how God may choose to answer my prayer. I believe part of me understood, it would require a trial, but never did I expect it to be as personal and challenging as this one is. God may not have sent this test, but he's using this circumstance to teach me to trust and not fear. He's strengthening my faith so it will overcome future fears.
When overwhelming circumstances enter my life, I do turn to God and ask Him, 'what can I learn from this, Lord?'. If you are in a hard time, try asking God to make it clear to you what you are to learn from the situation. He will answer just as He has with me.
I heard this song today, and want to close this blog with it. May this song bless you in some special way today.
Lyrics:
I’m not a warrior
I’m too afraid to lose
I feel unqualified for what you’re calling me to
But Lord with your strength
I’ve got no excuse
Cause broken people are exactly who you use.
So give me faith like Daniel in the lion’s den
Give me hope like Moses in the wilderness
Give me a heart like David, Lord be my defense
So I can face my giants with confidence
You took a shepherd boy
And made him a King
So I’m gonna trust you and give you everything
I’ll be a conquerer
Cause you fight for me
I’ll be a champion claiming your victory
So give me faith like Daniel in the lion’s den
Give me hope like Moses in the wilderness
Give me a heart like David, Lord be my defense
So I can face my giants with confidence
I’m gonna sing and shout and shake the walls
I won’t stop until I see them fall
Gonna stand up, step out when you call
Jesus, Jesus
So give me faith like Daniel in the lion’s den
Give me hope like Moses in the wilderness
Give me a heart like David, Lord be my defense
So I can face my giants with confidence
I’ll face my giants with confidence
