Do Not Fear

Considering the current natural disasters in Australia and now earthquakes in Puerto Rico, what is your view of these events? Do you think they are the result of global warming or could these be signs of the times? Do they mean nothing at all?

If you find yourself afraid, there is no need to be if you have a relationship with Jesus Christ, son of the one true living God. Whether these events are signs of Jesus’ return doesn’t matter as it’s clear the climate is changing as scientist’s have predicted it would. The Bible also predicted this thousands of years ago.

If you only believe these are the result of climate changes and have a relationship with Christ, our future is clear. Whether through death due to succumbing to the elements or the rapture of the church, we are guaranteed eternal life with Christ in Heaven and the new world to come.

If however, you do not have a relationship with Christ, your future is not as bright. It doesn’t matter how ‘good’ you are or even if you believe in ‘a’ God. The Bible has been used to document historical events, and therefore, it can be trusted to predict future events. The Bible clearly states the unbelievers will not go to heaven no matter how good they think they are or how many ‘good works’ they do. The one’s without a true relationship with Christ, will experience ‘eternal death’ in the lake of fire.

The world is in balance with opposing forces (what goes up must come down), and how people can believe there is only heaven and no hell is beyond my comprehension. If in life we have opposites, then it stands to reason in death there are opposites too. (Heaven and Hell)

To my brothers and sisters in Christ, I encourage you to not be discouraged or afraid in these times. Remember, God has said “The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalm 9:9-10).

To the unbelievers, "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars-their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death” (Revelation 21:8)

There is still hope for the unbelievers. It is not too late for you too to accept Christ. “For God so loved the world that whoever believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
