A Little Here Is More There
We may all get a little too caught up in this world at one point or another. This world is tangible, where heaven is not. I want to encourage everyone who has a relationship with Christ, to remember, if you find yourself with a little here on Earth, look forward to that much more in heaven. If we experience all the riches and glory here on Earth then I believe it won't mean as much when we reach heaven to see what all is in store for us there. I could be wrong as I also think heaven will have and offer what our minds can't even imagine. Just knowing what small surprises or unexpected gifts mean to me here, I can only imagine what it will feel like to step over into the other side finally. Remember also that Jesus knows what it's like not to have a place to lay His head.
Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." (Matthew 18;20)
Try not to dwell on what you don't have here as these things are temporary. Keep your eyes on Jesus and eternity to help get you through the struggle for every dollar and material possession here. I write this for myself as well as everyone else. Finding myself with a possible change in my standard of living, I am humbled. I realize just what I have waiting for me when I'm finally home with my heavenly Father. I need to stay the course as I want eternity to be as sweet as possible, but most importantly, I want to hear Jesus say "job well done my good and faithful servant".
"But He saves from the sword of their mouth, And the poor from the hand of the mighty. "So the helpless has hope, And unrighteousness must shut its mouth. (Job 5:15-16)
